Everyday life with my monsters at their best....

Where do I begin?

I love my boy he is the sweetest little thing. He is a very good baby and he is almost 1 now. He is a momma's boy and I have to say I kind of like that. As the girls have gotten older they just don't like me as much as they use to. Infact we spend a lot of time arguing over really stupid things. And I think that makes me really appreciate my babies, they can't talk back, fight, slam doors, and cause drama YET.
However he is very spoiled and he does like attention and being held (which I am taking advantage of). This is Parker throwing a fit beacuse I am helping his sisters with their homework, and not spending all of my time and attention with him.

I love these big crocadile tears!

While I get ready every day he always seems to find me.

He is crawling into the bathroom for his MaMa.

And yes his first word is MaMa. I tell Jared it is because he loves me most.

He is just a little jealous, and told me the other day that I need to quit babying him

or he is going to grow up to be a wimp. I just told him he is a baby and as long as he loves me most I am going to take advantage of that.
Nap Time: crashed on the front room floor with a bottle and the boppy.

Parker is so fun he has also learned recently to wave bye-bye and Hi. When the girls leave in the mornings to catch the bus or when they come home he gets so excited and waves and then looks at me like am I doing this right?

His right hand waves at the wrist like in the picture but usually he has both hands going only his left hand just the fingers wave. I don't know how he does it. I am not coordinated enough to do that .

Homework time: This is the time of the day that I dread. I hate homework just as much as they do. I fight with them from the time they get home from school til bed time to get it done and sometimes that isn't even enough time. I have tried grounding them, extra chores, etc. and nothing seems to work.

Paige

Kodie

And Parker still wondering when it is his turn for the attention.

Sunday afternoon ritual: We all gather infront of the bigscreen in the basement with a big bowl of popcorn and blankets to watch a movie. I don't think I have watched a full movie yet I usually end up asleep.

Show time: This too is a daily ritual with girls in the house they are always trying to put together some song and dance routine that we all have to see before bed. Including our home teachers and any other guests we may have.
Bath time: I thought this was just the cutest thing ever so please excuse the PORN. There is just nothing cuter that a baby's bum expecialy when it is as chubby as my babies.

The girls were playing peek a boo with him, and he laughed so hard he peed all over the floor.

See aren't those cheeks just adorable?

Finally Bed Time: The girls do pretty well most of the time about bed. They know we mean business at the end of the day. Occasionally we do still have to get the through the I need a drink, my legs hurt, I have a headache, I don't feel well phases but when they are finally out for the night, I love just watching them sleep. They are so peaceful, and sweet when they are all asleep.:) Paige and Kodie both do this occasionally. We go down stairs to tuck them in and find that they chose not to sleep in their beds and have made some sort of weird bed on the couch in the princess tent, or they are in each others beds. Well this time it was paige and she made a bed in her room just inside the door in her bean bag. So Jared quietly moved her to her bed.

Mean while Parker thinks he is being sneaky and finds something to play with.

Valentines Day!!!

Valentines Day!!!
The Girls love valentines day it is a fun day for them at school and this year we made their own valentines boxes for a change.

They enjoy looking through all of their valentines when they get home and see who gave them which ones. I think they are really looking for that cute boy in class to see if they he gave them that one that says I love you.

I don't really remember what we were doing on Valentines day I just remember we were busy. And that we didn't give the kids their valentines from us until bed time.
Jared always gives the girls a rose but this year we had a hard time finding one that looked good so we opted to give them a chocolate one instead and they loved it just as much. I got the kids a lollipop and a cute little stuffed Puppy they are all similar just different colors. I just feel bad Parker was allready asleep so I didn't get a picture of him with his. I was going to do it the next morning but of coarse I forgot. That is the story of my life.

So here is Parkers cute little puppy and I'll have to try a little harder next year for that photo. The girls were happy and so excited they took their puppies to bed and I'm sure played for a little while.

Another Hair Cut for Parker

I had to try a new approach to cutting his hair. When Jared holds him it can be a bit difficult because I then have to work around Jared as well as a moving baby. So I tried standing him in the chair and having him watch in the mirror, it seems to help a little.
I think this is hair cut 4 or 5 now I can't believe how often he needs a hair cut.

Daniel was Ordained

Today was a good day considering Dan was ordained an Elder. It was really neat and I am proud of him and his decision to go on a mission I think it will help him grow up a ton, and teach him to be independant and so much more.Dan & Grandma Rose Andersen

Grandpas Funeral

He loved hunting deer, elk, and pheasants with his kids, family and friends. Melvin had a great love for horses and became well known for his outstanding horsemanship. He was the strength of the Hyrum Saddle Club for over two decades, including serving as their President. The list goes on and on. Melvin served as the Grand marshal of the Hyrum City Fourth of July celebration, Hyrum Rodeo Chairman and many other callings and assignments. He truly was a pillar of our community.
He loved his Heavenly Father, his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his Church, his wonderful family, and above all else, his precious wife and eternal soulmate, Rose.

Military Honor Gurard Tribute
Wednesday, January 28th, 2009
Hyrum City Cemetery
On behalf of the American Legion South Cache Post 47.
Melvin truly was one of us. He led us as our commander, and he served alongside us, his fellow veterans, for many many years. Melvin loved his country, the beauty of this wonderful valley and the mountains that surround us. His life was blessed with happiness and joy because he and men and women like him have served honorably and without hesitation to protect the freedoms we all enjoy in this great Country.
Following our Victory in the battle for independence, the Founding Fathers formed a new government by writing and ratifying the Constitution of the United States of America. It is to that document, and the government it laid out, that Melvin and all members of the military who serve honorably become brothers in arms.

When we take that oath we "solemnly swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic: that we will bear true faith and alleiance to the same." Melvin, and each of us serving in this military honorguard today, have taken this oath freely and bear witness to its sacred nature and obligation by swearing "So help me God." It is through this oath, and the military honors we render today, that we are bound together as brothers-past, present and future.

Melvin's coffin is draped with the symbol of our Nation. It is under the Flag that we all serve. It is the flag that is carried into battle, and that flies over our many outposts and ships around the world. It is the Flag that is recognized, by friend, and foe alike, as a symbol of freedom as it flies over this Republic, "the land of the free, and the home of the brave." It is the Flag of the United States of America!

When folded the thirteen stripes will be enveloped by a "new Constellation of stars, " no longer separate states, no longer divided, now a union, "one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." It is to ensure and maintain that sacred goal that we serve our nation in life and death.

The three volleys come from and old battle field custom. The two warring sides would cease hostilities to clear their dead from the battlefield, and the firing of the three volleys meant that the dead had been properly cared for and the side was ready to resume the battle. Melvin Andersen has been properly cared for and his mortal battles are over. We must now resume the battle where he left off.
As a Bugle Call, Taps was first played to signal "extinguish the lamps" or "lights out." When the Civil War ended in 1865 it also became the final farewell at military funerals. Here are a couple of those verses:
"Go to sleep, peaceful sleep, may the soldier or sailor God keep,
on the land or the deep, safe in sleep."
"Day is done, gone the sun, from the hills, from the lake, from the sky.
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh."

And so for, Brother Melvin Andersen, good friend, brother in arms, loyal and patriotic American, may God bless and keep you and your family and these United States of America.
Grandpa you are missed and loved by many.
We love you and will see you again one day.
