My Baby is 1

It is hard to believe Parker was born a whole year ago.
He is at such a fun age I don't want him to grow up. I love where he is at now and would be content with him staying this size, and age forever.
Parker really didn't care about opening presents, he just wanted to play with them, and Dad just kept things moving along way to quickly.

He loves his fuzzy soft blankets!

Nice and Clean but not for long...

The first bite...

All done a huge mess and now it is time for the tub.

He is glad to be clean :)

All tuckered out after his big busy day!

Oh my sweet boy....

What can I say you are so adorable, and so loving.
You love to cuddle up to most anyone and give them hugs and kisses. I especially think it is
Cute when you cuddle up to a blanket, or stuffed animal on the floor. You love anything that is soft and fuzzy!

Learning to climb

Hey Mom look at me!
My Dad and Ruth got him this toy for christmas thinking he'd walk with it. Not my BOY. he climbs on it. Ok and sometimes he walks with it. He was so cute when I got out the camera he started posing, waving, and playing peek a boo. He is sooooo cute.
I really thought he'd be walking before climbing, but I guess what does mom know?
I think we are definately going to be in trouble with this one.

Grandpa Leonard Wayne Christensen

For the last 4 1/2 or 5 years Grandpa Christensen has been been a part of the DYE family.
Jesse and Marsha took him in and added on to their house for him. Although I know having him live there hasn't always been the easiest, I know they LOVED him imperfections and all.
We were lucky enough to visit with Grandpa Christensen on a regular basis. He always told us the same old stories and was thrilled to see the kids. We often heard of his loving wife, and his childern. His work at the site (because he knew that is where Jared worked), farming, etc. The kids were lucky to have known him and get to spend time with him. They loved swinging on the front porch, putting together puzzles and just enjoying his company. Even until his last days he was playing with the great grand kids stealing their noses and laughing with them.
I to have enjoyed getting to know him better.
I remember ocassionally helping out when Marsha would call, and I would go fix him lunch, and what I had intended being a short little visit turned into a couple of hours. We spent time chit chating, and putting together a couple of puzzles. Later Marsha told me that he had said "a pretty young lady came to visit me today".
I was happy to hear that compliment,
because as we know grandpa didn't give out many of those.

Oh the games we Play!

It has been a while (Februaray) but Joel, Amanda and Jefferson came down for a short visit,
a hair cut and a movie. We watched Fire Proof. It is a kind of cheesy film but has a really good message behind it, about how to "fire proof your marriage". I thought the message was great!

We loaded the boys in the laundry basket and Kodie and Paige gave them rides up and down the hall. They had a blast, and it was fun to see the boys playing together (they are 6 months apart).

Parker has discovered a new game, he likes to throw things down the stairs and over the legs of the chair which has become a permanent fixture at the top of our stairs since he has been on the move. Up over the leg, to the floor,

And over and over and over and over again.
