Playing in the Snow

With our first big snow fall of coarse the kids and Jared couldn't wait to go play in it.

Poor Parker had to stay inside because he didn't have his snow clothes yet.

Every year on New Years Day we usually get together and do a fun sledding day with family and cousins. But Jared got called in to work, and me and the kids went to Devan and Leslie's house to hang out, play in the snow and I sat on their couch most of the day watching dangerous mind reruns.

Parker didn't care much to just play in the snow I think he had a hard time keeping his balance. But he loved the 4wheeler rides with Uncle Devan.

Christmas Morning

Ok I should have added this photo earlier but I forgot, and I needed to show off my cute new Nephew Daynen, Nicki's baby.
Well first of all we ended up spending Christmas in Utah. My brother Daniel was able to call home while he is on his mission and of coarse I didn't want to miss that so we made arrangements, and ended up spending Christmas Eve at my Grandma's house like we did when we were kids. We also got to call Daniel which was really good but also kind of sad not being able to spend time with him through the holidays. But back to Christmas Morning, it was so fun watching Parker this year. We woke up around 6:30am which wasn't bad (considering last year we were up at 3am) Parker wasn't convinced though that he should get up. So Jared carried him to the living room where all of the gifts were. Jared sat down on the floor and the girls continued to try to get Parker to wake up. They finally dragged this big stuffed tiger over to him and said look at the toys Santa brought you. He slowly lifted his head and peeked his eyes open just a little and then just jumped on the tiger. It was so funny. Then he soon realized there was a lot more to look at and was up and running around in no time.

Yes the girls got the DS's they wanted

Nate enjoyed hanging out with us Christmas morning and Kodie is always good at giving the older kids a bad time about spending time with family when we are there.

Christmas is also Nate's Birthday, and he got a camera. Yea!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY :)

Parker is really into horses lately so I couldn't pass this one up when I found it. He is still trying to figure out how to ride it though.

Nicki, Daynen, and Sky also showed up a little later.

The girls also love to spend time with Granny!!!

OK I Give Up...

I am giving in, I am done trying to catch up. I am just too far behind.
So here is December.
Every year Jared's family gets together for a Christmas party. Everyone brings yummy soups and snacks and yes even Santa gets an invite. All of the boys in the familyNotice Parker is asleep in the group photo. He fell asleep while we were eating and since we were at the church I didn't have anywhere to lay him so he stayed in his high chair. Don't ask me how he slept through all the kayos I guess he must have been really tired. All of the Girls in the familyAnd finally Santa.
I was surprised Parker seemed to kind of like the crazy old guy.Paige and Kodie made sure he knew what they wanted. A DS of coarse. And me a date with my hubby. Which has yet to happen.
I guess Santa is slacking.

SHS Football

Ok I have to admit, I use to think my husband was crazy always wanting to go to the local highschool football games. But I guess it has kind of grown on me. I actually enjoy going my self. Expecially when I can leave the kids home with a babysitter. Our first game is always against a small local rival school, just to kick off the season. It is always packed and usually a good game.

There is usually some of Jared's family members there along with a bunch of friends and neighbors.

Parker had a blast at this game all by his self. He climbed up and down the bleacers. Eating cheetos, a hamburger and candy from who ever had a stash.

Good Luck SHS!!!

First Day of School August 2009

This year Kodie is in 3rd grade and Paige is in 1st. They were both very excited to get back to school this year.

Walking to the bus stop.

Mrs. A is a great bus driver the girls love her

Remember Cody Pinder??? He got married! :)

In August Jared and I had the chance to take a few days and drive to Colorado for a good friend's wedding (Cody Pinder). We drove through Denver and saw the stadium, went school clothes shopping for the kids, and just had a good time exploring and spending time together. It had been quite a while since we got away with out the kids. They got married in a small little church in the middle of a forested area. It was a little different from most of the weddings I have been too but it was kind of neat also. I am so happy for them they make a very cute couple and it was fun to see them and Cody's family. I haven't seen some of them in about 15 years. Since we use to date way back when... I am glad we have stayed good friends all of these years and hopefully we can continue that for many more.
The church was beautifully designed and had awesome architectural design and structure.

This is the Happy Couple after the ceremony.
Cody and Leslie Pinder
Yea!!!

This is them being pelted with bird seed as they came out the back side of the Church.

Cody's Dad Kurt, and Step Mom Cheryl

Them with the pastor or priest I don't know exactly what he'd be called. Sorry!
But this man married them.

Colorado was so beautiful and covered everywhere in trees like this.

Out back of the church they had a few pictures taken and so naturally I grabbed my camera and snapped a couple my self.

Here is a good one of Cody, his Dad, and little brother Hayden.

It was good to see them all and catch up a little since we only see or talk to each other every couple of years.
On our way home we decided to take a little detour and go to the temple.

The Colorado Temple was beautiful just like all the others but quite small in comparison. We were very lucky because as we were leaving we discovered that we attended the very last session of the day. I was just thinking it kept the same hours as the one in Idaho Falls thinking it would be open til 6 or 7. Jared and I both thought it was weird that they were waiting for a few people to begin the session. We both just thought just start they can catch the next one. Another interesting fact was the whole time we were there we never ran into an LDS Church. It was kind of strange coming from a place that there is one on almost every block.

We had a wonderful experience and I think we are going to see more temples through out the World when ever we have a chance.
