Grandpa Leonard Wayne Christensen

For the last 4 1/2 or 5 years Grandpa Christensen has been been a part of the DYE family.
Jesse and Marsha took him in and added on to their house for him. Although I know having him live there hasn't always been the easiest, I know they LOVED him imperfections and all.
We were lucky enough to visit with Grandpa Christensen on a regular basis. He always told us the same old stories and was thrilled to see the kids. We often heard of his loving wife, and his childern. His work at the site (because he knew that is where Jared worked), farming, etc. The kids were lucky to have known him and get to spend time with him. They loved swinging on the front porch, putting together puzzles and just enjoying his company. Even until his last days he was playing with the great grand kids stealing their noses and laughing with them.
I to have enjoyed getting to know him better.
I remember ocassionally helping out when Marsha would call, and I would go fix him lunch, and what I had intended being a short little visit turned into a couple of hours. We spent time chit chating, and putting together a couple of puzzles. Later Marsha told me that he had said "a pretty young lady came to visit me today".
I was happy to hear that compliment,
because as we know grandpa didn't give out many of those.
