Yes I am behind once again. I guess it is a good thing I don't take too many pictures any more.
I was able to go with the youth in our ward to Island Park in January for a Youth Conference. We stayed in a very nice cabin, and got to know each other better. It was a fun experience and I had a good time. When we first got there we played a couple of getting to know you games.
Tyler of coarse thought he was being cool when he took hundreds of squares of toilet paper. He didn't know at the time he would have to tell us something about himself for every square that he took. We played outside most of the next day on snow machines, sleds, tubes, snow boards, and the hood of death.
Brother Pascoe, brought up the "HOOD OF DEATH" (an old car hood) to be pulled behind the snow machines. Here we have Brother Richardson, Tyler Davis, and Brother Kohler, who decided to be brave and give it a try with Brother Pascoe being the driver. Luckily we didn't come home with any broken bones.
We had crazy hair moments, Silly Vrooooom game noise, a wonderful Pioneer Devotional followed by a very moving testimony meeting, and to top it all off we even threw in a little bit of service. We were able to make dolls for Primary Children's Hospital, and color folder kits. Every one participated and got along very well. I was supprised to see who hung out with who and to see them bond with those that in other circumstances they may not have. I think every one felt welcome and at home with each other.
I had a lot of fun and learned even more. I enjoyed getting know our youth better and spending time with them.
